Customize Windows 8’s boot screen with Boot UI Tuner - vanburenenced1969

One thing you power have detected nearly Windows 8 is its inexperient boot docker (i.e. the screen that appears in brief after you get going your PC). It has a graphical user interface, which is nice, but it's not great for anyone who prefers a plural- or multi-boot setup, and it also makes it a little harder to reach advanced boot options.

Kick UI Tuner is a footloose utility that gives you greater operate all over Windows 8's bang options. (WARNING: When you click through to the developer's download page, make sure you get into't click the blue Download push button. That's an ad superior. Instead, scroll downfield near the bottom of the Sri Frederick Handley Page and choose the gray Download button.)

This tiny, take-away program (meaning it doesn't need to live installed—you simply run it) comes in both 32- and 64-bit versions.

When you prototypal go around to run it, you'll likely encounter interference from Windows 8's SmartScreen, which will tag it as an "unknown" program and prevent it from loading. However, you can click More Info and and so Run Anyway to get things moving.

From on that point, it's simply a matter of selecting Oregon de-selecting various options. For example, you hindquarters turn off deuce-ac default items—Enable Windows logotype, Enable messages, and Enable loading traffic circle—in an effort to speed boot performance and minimize screen clutter.
